The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is one of the nation’s largest, most senior, prestigious classical theatres, serving nearly 100,000 children and adults annually. The longest running Shakespeare theatre on the East Coast, the company marks its 54rd season in 2016. Through our world-class productions and groundbreaking education programs, we endeavor to illuminate the vital relevance and resonance of Shakespeare’s work and other classics for contemporary audiences. Our work featuresseven annual productions of classic masterworks and/or new work inspired by classic source. Each year we present six productions on our Main Stage, the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre in Madison, andeach summer we offer an additional long-run production at our Outdoor Stage, the Greek Theatre in neighboring Florham Park.
