The Montessori Children’s Academy (MCA) is committed to inspiring and motivating children ages 2½ through 8th grade to learn by providing the finest Montessori educational experience. Using traditional Montessori methods, we provide a developmentally challenging, yet appropriate, learning environment that engages children’s natural curiosity and helps them to develop a lifelong love of learning. Our programs are enhanced by exposure to foreign language, health, the arts, and environmental education. Our Kindergarten and Elementary students also enjoy technology and physical education classes, as well as a variety of enrichment experiences both in and out of the classroom. Opportunities to plan and participate in community outreach and service projects align all of our students with the skills they will need to position themselves as future leaders in our global community. We respect, nurture, and expand the academic, social, and emotional gifts of each student while preserving the true spirit and purpose of childhood. MCA, with campuses in Morristown, Chatham, and Short Hills, offers full- and half-day Preschool programs, full-day Kindergarten, before and after school Extended Hours, a program for children 18-30 months with their caregivers (Montessori, My Child, & Me), Summer Camp, and LEAF Approach to Enrichments. In addition, our Short Hills campus is also home to our Elementary Program. Our teacher education program, Montessori Center for Teacher Development (MCTD), is housed in our Morristown campus and provides teacher training and a path to certification for Adult Learners who desire to become Early Childhood Montessori teachers.
