At the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs, our vision is a community promoting cultural heritage where everyone is respected, self-sufficient and engaged in making a difference. In keeping with our strong heritage as a nation of immigrants, MCOHA helps improve the lives of Hispanic and low-income residents by providing direct social services, education, and client advocacy. We inspire hope and community integration. Our private, nonprofit organization was started in 1976 by seven concerned individuals who saw that Dover’s growing Hispanic population was not getting the help they needed to become self-sufficient and engaged in the community. From these modest, grassroots beginnings, Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs (MCOHA) has evolved to become a known and trusted resource for nearly 8,000 low-income residents each year. Led by Executive Director Xiomara Guevara, we operate at locations in Dover, Morristown, and Butler and offer our clients a variety of services, including computer training, transportation, senior services, community outreach, and more.
