The Community Foundation of New Jersey was established in 1979 as a nonprofit organization created for the development and improvement of the communities throughout New Jersey. For the last two decades, the Foundation and its donors have been building philanthropy in the state. The Foundation and its donor advisors have strived to positively impact our state in the areas of education, arts, social welfare, environment, health, and community development. Since its inception, the Community Foundation of New Jersey has granted well over $45 million to the non-profit community over the last five years, and currently has over $100 million in charitable assets.
